Privacy Policy
This policy explains image processing, basic website logs, analytics and contact messages separately.
Effective: July 15, 2026
Short version: images selected in the crop tools are processed on your device. PhotoCropper does not upload them to an image-processing server.
1. Images you edit
When you choose, drop or paste an image, your browser reads it locally. Cropping, resizing, format conversion and ZIP creation happen in the browser. Selected image files, image pixels, local paths and original filenames are not intentionally transmitted to PhotoCropper.
Object URLs and temporary canvas data exist only in the current browser session and are released when they are no longer needed or when the page closes. Downloaded files are saved through your browser’s normal download controls.
2. Normal website requests and server logs
Like most websites, the hosting service receives requests needed to deliver HTML, JavaScript, fonts, styles and built-in sample images. Basic security and access logs may include an IP address, approximate request time, requested page, browser information and response status. These logs are not designed to contain the image you selected for editing.
Cloudflare may process these requests as our hosting, security, DNS or email-routing provider. Its handling of network data is governed by its own service terms and privacy documentation.
3. Analytics
PhotoCropper uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page visits and improve the website. Google Analytics may receive information such as the page viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device details, referral source and interaction timing. The crop tools do not need analytics in order to work.
Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy documentation. Where applicable, browser controls, consent tools or Google’s opt-out options can be used to limit analytics. Analytics must not receive the image content you select, original filenames, local paths, exact image dimensions or face-analysis data.
4. Contact messages
If you email us, the message, address and information you choose to include are processed to reply and keep a reasonable support history. Do not attach private images unless they are necessary to explain a problem and you are comfortable sharing them by email.
5. Cookies and local storage
PhotoCropper may use local storage to remember a light or dark theme choice. This preference stays in your browser. The first release does not require an account or use a cookie to store edited images.
6. Data retention and choices
Local image data disappears when the page session and browser resources are cleared. Hosting logs follow the retention settings of the hosting and security provider. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security and recordkeeping.
You can clear the theme preference through browser site-data controls. You can also ask about a support message you previously sent.
7. Children
PhotoCropper is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly build profiles about children or ask for a birth date.
8. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. A change to image processing, analytics or third-party data handling will be described specifically rather than hidden in generic wording.
